Found you again...on Facebook

Just when I was thinking of breaking up with Facebook....

I have never been very good at networking at parties. My patience for all the noise and idle chit-chat runs thin and I want to run for solitude. So it was with Facebook-my mind keeps thinking it is alot like a chicken farm, the constant white-noise becomes like the ocean but not as relaxing. But I have found a new way to love it because it has reconnected me with some really great people that I have lost touch with over the past years.

Sadly, this has occurred due to the passing of a dear friend of 10 years. There was a group of us who used to play hard together but I got disconnected to no fault of anyone but myself. As my friend's lifeline was coming to an end, it still didn't spur me to action to share the joy of his life before it ended. So it is with many things and I could cry over the lost time but instead I have found a new comeraderie with those lost ones through Facebook. Now I have rekindled friendships and reconnected with some really terrific people and make a promise to myself not to lose again. Thank you FB for that.

I guess I will continue to show up to the party and participate on my own terms. Quietly, intimately, honestly. I don't have to sell stuff, or be the center of attention, or try to can someone else's ideas as my own. I don't want to break up after all!

What's the buzz about the new HUD 1 statement?

Beginning January 1, 2010, all real estate transactions that require a HUD 1 settlement statement will be using the new forms which have big changes relating to the lenders and the GFE - (Good Faith Estimate). Take some time to watch this video to understand this a bit better.

We at Ticor have taken a proactive approach to these changes by working to educate the real estate community through live presentations. This helps our clients manage expectations for their buyers and sellers.
